Lani Phipps Owner and Founder of Bookwyrm Bookkeeping

My name is Lani Phipps, owner and CEO of Bookwyrm Bookkeeping. I started bookkeeping as a side hustle for my sister-in-law and was surprised to find I enjoyed it! I decided to pursue it as a career with her blessing and went to the Universal Accounting Center to graduate from the Professional Bookkeepers program. Next I'm working on the Professional Tax Preparers Program.

As for my backstory I am a gigantic nerd. I love fantasy primarily, but gaming and nerdiness in general. I'm obsessed with dragons, Harry Potter, and witches in the woods. I enjoy playing Dungeons & Dragons, card games, and going to renaissance fairs. I'm a bookkeeper of another sort as well since I have a great love of reading and a hoard of books.

I spent three years working for a clock shop and rediscovered my love of antiques and stories. I have many clocks myself including a presidential Howard Miller that plays Fur Elise. Rare and lovely. My husband currently works there as a clock repairmen. My husband is a veteran, Army National Guard, and had bounced around jobs until he found his calling in clocks. Feel free to reach out with any questions regarding clocks as well. ;D

I met my lovely husband in Logan, Utah at an event. He was instantly smitten by my eccentric looks. (Blonde, blue eyed, red lipped, quartz at my throat, henna on my skin. I'd had a very fun birthday recently.) He promptly got my attention by bringing me plates of brownies and asking if I knew anyone in need of chocolate. I said I did (and it was me) and we talked the rest of the night. He told me about a Harry Potter party he was planning and I promptly told him his plans needed help and I took over. We were inseparable after that. We've been married 6 years and have a 2 year old boy and 2 bratty cats. We enjoy big band swing dancing, throwing Harry Potter parties, and spending time with family.
